O Manchester City FC, através do City Football Group (CFG), e a Wix.com, plataforma de desenvolvimento web, anunciaram o acordo de parceria. A Wix será responsável pelo “Website Design & Hosting” do site oficial dos Citizens e dos restantes clubes do grupo, o New York City FC e o Melbourne City FC.

Omer Shai, diretor de marketing da Wix.com disse: “Working with a globally recognized football brand like CFG is part of our overall strategy to use the power of sport to reach worldwide audiences with our brand. We have seen great success advertising in the NFL’s Super Bowl, and now we’re looking to expand to the most popular sport in the world – football. The partnership with CFG is a natural one as our two brands share values and vision, and we’re confident it will boost the Wix brand amongst the massive fan bases of all three clubs.”

O acordo irá ajudar o clube a envolver-se com os seus fãs através das suas plataformas digitais. Irão oferecer aos usuários Wix.com e aos fãs dos três clubes do CFG a oportunidade de ganharem prémios extras, entre eles, a possibilidade de ver sessões de treinos.
